In 1998 CMI fathers started a socio-medical center at Shahada in a rented house. The purpose of this center was to serve the adivasi villagers. But due to some unhappy incidents we were forced to close down this center and restrict ourselves to the spiritual care of the Malayalee Christian community. Later on we started one school in June 2000
under the leader ship Fr. Johna Arikkat CMI staying in an old house at Saraswati Colony. The new building “Chavara Bhavan”, a residence for fathers as well as for boys boarding in the school campus itself was constructed. It was blessed and inaugurated by our former provincial Rev. Fr. Pius Ukken CMI, on 8th March 2009.
