Taking into account the needs of the people, Chavara mission started an English Medium School at Nandurbar, the adivasi District on June 2001. Under the leadership of Fr. John Arikkat. Later Fr. Thomas jointed and given the present shape during his years. Sunday mass and other pastoral services for Malayalee Christians are conducted regularly. The present house was constructed in 2003.In 2009, it is organized a new venture satpuda project with the aim of literary and other social development programs for the poor adivasis in Satpuda mountains. Feeling one with the local people, we also provide free evening classes to almost 100 children in and around the Rakeshwade village. Due to the continuous insistence from the part of the parents for a Boy’s hostel, we started Chavara Boys’ Hostel in 2011.
